Combining expertise in RF and mixed-signal design with proven product execution, SPARK’s leadership has guided LE-UWB™ silicon from breakthrough innovation to production, enabling a new generation of wireless products.

Leadership Team

Fares Mubarak

Chief Executive Officer
Fares leads SPARK Microsystems’ overall strategy, operations, and growth. A global executive with more than 30 years in semiconductors, EDA, and healthcare IT, he was previously VP/GM of the Semiconductor Business Unit at ANSYS, the leader in engineering simulation, and President of TeleResults, a healthcare IT company. Earlier in his career he held executive roles in management, marketing, sales, and engineering at Actel (acquired by Microsemi), AMD, and Samsung Semiconductor. He holds an MSEE from Case Western Reserve University and an MBA from Golden Gate University.

Frederic Nabki

Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer
Frederic leads the technology innovation behind SPARK Microsystems’ LE-UWB™ products and sets the company’s technical roadmap. He has 25 years of experience in RFIC and MEMS research and development, spanning analog, RF, and mixed-signal integrated circuits as well as MEMS sensors and actuators. He has authored numerous scientific publications, holds multiple patents in microsystems and integrated circuits, and serves on the Board of Directors of the UWB Alliance. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from McGill University.

Dhiraj Sogani

Chief Commercial Officer
Dhiraj leads SPARK Microsystems’ business and product strategy, go-to-market, and global sales and marketing. A wireless industry executive with more than 25 years in semiconductors, systems, and EDA, he held senior leadership roles at Silicon Labs and Redpine Signals, where he launched and scaled wireless product lines generating hundreds of millions in revenue. His experience spans product strategy, ecosystem development, and global sales across Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 802.15.4, sub-GHz, and MCU portfolios. He holds a BS from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Sylvain Jalbert

VP, Engineering
Sylvain leads SPARK Microsystems’ engineering organization and product development across hardware and software. He has over 25 years of experience managing teams and delivering products across intelligent robotics, industrial systems, telecommunications, medical, and other demanding industries, with a track record in organizational transformation, team building, and process improvement. A professional engineer, he holds an Executive MBA from ESG UQAM.

Gale Armour

VP, Finance & Administration
Gale leads SPARK Microsystems’ finance and administration. A finance professional with over 15 years across the manufacturing and technology industries, she was previously Director of Finance at The Flowr Corporation and spent six years in the semiconductor industry with PMC-Sierra, Microsemi, and Microchip — where she served as Financial Controller for a division with global revenues of US$700M and operations across six countries. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Gale is a CPA, CA and holds a Bachelor of Technology from BC Institute of Technology.

George Taylor

VP of Sales, Americas
George leads SPARK Microsystems’ North American sales. He brings more than 25 years of semiconductor experience, most recently as Director of Business Development at Soitec, where he worked with leaders across RF, photonics, and digital technologies. He has held sales, business development, and engineering roles at Microchip, Samsung, and Actel/Microsemi.

Bruce Lin

Senior Director of Sales, APAC
Bruce leads SPARK Microsystems' sales across Asia Pacific. A semiconductor sales leader with 18 years in the industry and more than a decade in IoT wireless connectivity, he held commercial leadership roles at Silicon Labs and Redpine Signals, driving regional growth across Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and LPWAN portfolios. His experience spans OEM, ODM, distribution, and ecosystem partnerships across Greater China, Japan, Korea, India, Southeast Asia, and ANZ.

Jocelyn Carroué

Senior Director of Technical Support
J. Carroué leads SPARK Microsystems' worldwide Field Applications Engineering organization, overseeing opportunity selection and promoting the company's LE-UWB™ wireless technology to consumer, audio, gaming, and industrial customers across EMEA. He joined SPARK Microsystems in 2021 as Director of EMEA Technical Support before being appointed to his current role in 2024. He brings close to two decades of experience in semiconductor field applications engineering and technical business development, having held senior positions at Dialog Semiconductor, Adesto Technologies, Macronix, and Spansion. He holds an engineering degree from Group ESIEE Paris.

Noura Tchelebi

Director, Human Resources
Noura leads SPARK Microsystems’ Human Resources and Organizational Development function, overseeing talent acquisition, leadership development, and culture as the company scales globally. An HR executive with over 15 years of international experience across education, healthcare, financial services, and technology, she held senior HR leadership roles at the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) and Medtronic, with a focus on building a people-first HR function during periods of rapid organizational shifts. She holds a Master of Science in Human Resources with a specialization in Organizational Development from Drexel University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the American University of Beirut.

Dominic Deslandes

Co-founder & Chief Scientific Officer
Dominic guides SPARK Microsystems’ long-term technology vision. With 19 years of experience in RF systems design, he has led research and development across antenna design, RF system integration, sensor networks, and UWB communication systems, collaborating with companies on microwave sub-system solutions. He holds a PhD and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from École Polytechnique de Montréal, where his research focused on high-frequency system integration.

Michiel Soer

Co-founder & Chief Designer
Michiel is a technical lead bringing SPARK Microsystems’ wireless products to market. He has 11 years of experience in the research and development of RFICs and microwave systems, spanning analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal integrated circuits in advanced CMOS, with publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He holds an MSc and a PhD in Electrical Engineering, with honors, from the University of Twente.

Mohammad Taherzadeh

Co-founder & Principal RF & Mixed-Signal Designer
Mohammad designs the RF and mixed-signal circuits at the core of SPARK Microsystems’ wireless products. He has 15 years of experience in mixed-signal and RF IC design, with technical focus on radio-frequency and wireline communication circuits and high-speed data converters in advanced CMOS, and has authored publications in leading journals and conferences. He earned his PhD from McGill University.
