SR1020 LE-UWBTM Wireless Transceiver IC
The SR1020 is SPARK's LE-UWB™ transceiver for the 6.2–9.5 GHz band. Operating globally across major regulatory domains, it delivers the performance and power profile of the SR1000 family has ultra-low power consumption, 50µs airtime latency, and robust coexistence with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; all in a compact 4×4mm QFN28 package. It is the broadly applicable choice in the SR1000 family for commercial applications without sub-6 GHz requirements.

Overview
Engineered for the wire-free edge
Ultra-low power
The SR1020 aggressively duty-cycled architecture enables multi-year operation on a coin cell battery and battery-less energy harvesting configurations.
Deep sleep current is 920 nA; shutdown is 55 nA. The SR1020 active power profile is optimized for the 6–9 GHz band; 0.39 mA/Mbps RX and 0.12 mA/Mbps TX at 3.3 V.

Very-low latency
50 µs airtime for 1 kbit.
Deterministic and consistent on every transmission. Enables real-time wireless data streams for headset, HID, gaming peripheral, and sensor applications where timing consistency is critical.

Robust coexistence
The SR1020 operates alongside Wi-Fi 6E (6 GHz), Wi-Fi (5 GHz), and Bluetooth without interference. Carrier-Sense (CSMA) stack support and dynamic spectrum shaping ensure compliance with international UWB emission limits. The SR1020 maintains link integrity in the presence of strong out-of-band blockers across the 6–9 GHz range.
Low-cost integration
Single 32.768 kHz external crystal. High-efficiency PCB antenna. No external antenna component required. Standard SPI interface for straightforward MCU integration. 4×4 mm QFN28 footprint with minimal external components.
